New York Spring 2009: Betsey Johnson

Going to a Betsey Johnson fashion show is like indulging into a colorful fairytale of creativity, imagination and pure joyful playfulness. For Spring 2009, Miss Betsey decorated the runway with blue background and yellow starts. Tables surrounded the runway where the guests were treated with cupcakes with the initials “BJ,” baby blocks and huge lollipops while enjoying the fashion show. As the show began, tunes of Sesame Street played and a huge door frame opened the runway. The collection was as exciting as ever featuring large skirts Scarlet O’Hara style, handcuffed brides, and lots of ruffles, lace and color. True to Betsey’s style, the models had colorful wigs and also accessorized with bowler hats and sexy fingerless lace gloves. Hot, Hot, Hot!
