New York Spring 2009: Oscar de la Renta

The famous designer presented a colorful and flower rich collection almost reminding me of a chic garden party. The collection started with a day look and oversized glasses as accessory and progressed ending with stunning long dresses for a romantic evening adventure, like the stunning diamond-print belted dress. The color palette was mainly in bright summer tones and lots of flower print. The accessories included drop earrings, layered necklaces and brooches which sparkled on the runway. As Oscar best explains it, “It’s my job to make women comfortable, confident, feminine and to make them sparkle.” And sure he does by delivering a sparkling collection with lots of class.
