Bulgari’s “Save the Children” Ring

As part of its impressive 125th Birthday in 2009, Bulgari is committed to raising €10 million for Save The Children’s “Rewrite the Future” campaign. The Italian jewellery brand designed a beautiful silver ring with the engraved Bulgari logo which will be available from February the 1st at the price of €290, with €50 from each sale being donated to the charity. Moreover, at the end of the year, 15 pieces of high jewellery and 8 high-end timepieces will be available at an auction in New York with all of the proceeds going towards Save The Children. A truly beautiful ring and birthday it would be!

Naomi Campbell’s Fashion For Relief Show

Many celebrities walked the runway for Fashion For Relief, a fashion show organized by supermodel Naomi Campbell to raise money for the charity The White Ribbon Alliance fund to promote safe childbirth. The clothes from the runway were later auctioned. The celebrities walking on the runway included designer Vivienne Westwood, model Chanel Iman, hot Tyson Beckford, Elizabeth Jagger, girl group the Sugababes and Miss Naomi Campbell of course.

Vivienne Westwood walked with a big smile down the runway wearing her own design. Naomi Campbell showed her supermodel walk down the runway a couple of times. She opened the show wearing a stunning Zac Posen green dress which raised $50,000 in the auction and then changed into an Yves Saint Laurent black outfit. Naomi also paired with young model Chanel Iman as they both wore the same Azzedine Allaia design dress; Naomi’s in black and Chanel’s in white.

The Fashion For Relief Show was presented during London Fashion Week for Spring 2009 at the National History Museum on September 17, 2008 in London, England. You can watch a short clip from the Fashion Show, although the quality is not very good. For more detailed pictures look below.

Jean-Paul Gaultier Designs Evian Water Bottle

Famous designer Jean-Paul Gaultier has created a new bottle design for French mineral water brand Evian. The elegant design is to symbolize the purity and balance of natural water. The design features two versions: one is the Pret-a-porter and the other is Haute Couture. The Haute Couture bottle will be presented first in Paris and then it will be sold by the world’s best auctions. All the funds raised from the sale will go to the RAMSAR organization, which aims to protect the Earth’s water resources, with whom Evian have cooperated for more than 10 years.

Every year Evian launches new design bottles and in early 2008, designer Christian Lacroix designed a Pret-a-porter and a Haute Couture limited edition bottles.

Gisele Auctions Her Diamonds

Brazilian supermodel beauty Gisele Bundchen will auction off some of her dimond jewellery on October the 15th at the leading auction house, Christie’s. Two of the items were reportedly given to her by ex-boyfriend, Leonardo DiCaprio: one is a colored diamond ring to go between $15,000 and $20,000 and the other is a diamond pendant necklace that could go for up to $150,000. The auctioned jewellery will also include two more giant diamonds that are expected to go for $2 million to $4 million together. A portion of the proceeds from the auction will go towards a nonprofit organization that empowers African diamond-mining countries.
