Gisele Bündchen and Kate Moss Versace Spring 2009 Ad

The Spring 2009 Versace ad campaign is truly gorgeous, featuring not just the stunning mini dresses from Versace’s collection that we saw back in September in Milan, but also featuring the stunning supermodels Gisele Bündchen and Kate Moss. The ad was shot by Mario Testino and it is by far one of my favorite Spring 2009 ad campaigns. The elegant mini dresses and the delicate fabrics combined with the dreamy ocean in the background makes the warm Summer and Spring feel that much closer.

Mango Launches Lingerie Line “MNG Sweet”

After introducing its men’s line He by Mango, the well known Spanish label Mango will also launch a lingerie and homewear line called Mango Sweet. The stylish collection will be available from February 2009 in selected stores worldwide and will feature 18 outfits and accessories to wear around the house. True to Mango’s dedication of high quality, all of the items from Mango Sweet will be made from natural fibres such as cotton and silk. The color palette will be in soft and sensual nuances such as apricot, lemon, coral and salmon, along with floral prints.

Giorgio Armani Holiday Swarovski Crystal Collection 2008

The limited edition Holiday collection by Giorgio Armani is all about the glamour as the designer adds the irresistible sparkle of the Swarovski crystals. The collection is inspired by the use of the exquisite stones in Armani’s evening couture dresses which are a combination of delicate details and rich luxurious fabrics for the glamorous sophistication for which the designer is known. The Crystal Collection features four products; the Crystal Palette, the Black Shimmer Puff, the Armanisilk Lipstick, and the Silver Sparkling Mascara Top Coat.

The Crystal Palette is presented in solid black lacquered packaging with glittering details, all encased in a special black velvet pouch. The Crystal Palette is a double-level case that features four shimmering eye shadow shades on top - ranging from silver to gold – while the bottom holds an iridescent body powder in a versatile neutral shade. The four eye shadow shades are silver black (black with sparkling silver,) silver white (metallic light grey, with glitter effect,) golden beige (shimmering rose beige with golden pearl,) and golden white (iridescent golden white.) The Black Shimmer Puff is black soft puff containing a delicate shimmering powder that adds an instant glamour to any look. The puff is adorned with a black satin bow and is encased in a matte black box. The price is $55.

The Crystal ArmaniSilk Lipstick comes in a precious black lacquered case embellished with Swarovski^® crystals. The lipstick comes in many shades and the exceptional blend of Micro silk powders™ creates a sensual, finely woven veil of rich color that glides onto the lips - dressing them like silk. The price depending on the shade is between $25 and $38.

The Silver Sparkling Mascara Top Coat creates an intense sparkle of light grey, resulting in a luminous and sophisticated silver shimmer effect on lashes. The limited edition Sparkling Silver Top Coat Mascara has a professional comb applicator that makes it easy to achieve perfect lash separation and definition. The price is $28.

MAC Dame Edna Collection

Make-up is all about the colors and the queen of glamor Dame Edna has created a special collection for MAC. “Follow my beauty regime possums, and you’ll never be cosmetically challenged,” says the make-up muse. The packaging is absolutely fun as it is rich in lilac and has rhinestone-encrusted face masks. The Dame Collection has everything a girl wants including Lipstick/Lipglass, eye shadow, Highlight powder and nail lacquers. More details on the collection are below and it will be available at MAC stores on the 26th of December of 2009.

Prada’s Spring 2009 Women’s Campaign

Prada’s Spring/Summer 2009 fashion show was truly unforgettable with beautiful clothes and the dangerous shoes which caused models to trip and even fall. And now the much awaited Spring Campaign featuring the feminine pieces from the collection, as well as the sky high most talked-about shoes of the year, has arrived. The ad was shot by Steven Meisel and includes models Nimue Smit, Giedre Dukauskaite, Sigrid Agren, Toni Garrn, Katrin Thormann, Viktoriya Sasonkina and Ymre Stiekema. The ad is gorgeous and brings out the sensitive nature of the clothing with natural make-up and chic French twists hair styles and the color palette is in soft beige, cream and white. 

Swarovski Forever Ring

The most glamorous ring available from the Autumn/Winter 2009 Swarovski collection Passages of Night is the Forever ring. Its name says it all as this extraordinary piece is the ultimate perfection of sparkle, style and timeless class which will last Forever. The clear all around crystal is decorated with a cross band detail of glittering Golden Shadow crystal pavé. The ring is Gold-plated and it is priced at CAD $390. Judging by its price, this ring has got to offer something spectacular and it truly does. The combination of gold and clear silver adds an irresistible appeal that is stunningly special especially for the coming Holidays as well as for any other unforgettable occasion. I love the crystal band detail as it reminds me a princess ring and because of its sparkle in color, you can wear this with both gold or silver accessories.

Chanel Métiers D’Art Pre-Fall 2009 Collection

Ever since Karl Lagerfeld revealed that the new Métiers D’Art collection will be inspired by imperial Russia and Russian folklore, everyone could not wait to see it. And finally presented in Paris in the Théâtre le Ranelagh the runway blossomed in this amazing fairy tale. I do not have words to describe what a beautiful collection this truly is and I will let you judge for yourself adoring the pictures below. Every single piece was stunning and brought to life the Russian magic combined with the timeless Chanel style. The folkloric headdresses were done by Japanese wizard Kamo and the garments sparkled with gold high heels, extravagant jewellery and astrakhan muffs.

“There are three things I like about Russia,” said Lagerfeld. “I love Imperial Russia, from Catherine the Great to Fabergé. I love constructivism, of course. And I love Russian folklore, which is very special. What was fun was to mix it all.”

And he truly did as the runway was rich in everything from “a coat with a shawl collar and babushka shoulders to tweed suits with military airs and geometric trim,” and the shimmering gold stockings, leather boots and splashes of stunning knits, brocades, fur trims and embroideries completed the magical Parisian-Russian fairy tale.
