Coco Rocha’s complete photo spread for Romeo and Juliet

For the December 2008 issue of Vogue, distinguished photographer Annie Leibovitz recreated the Shakespearean love tragedy Romeo and Juliet entitling it “Love of a Lifetime.” Famous model Coco Rocha plays the role of the dreamy Juliet and ballet dancer Roberto Bolle is Romeo. The 33-year old Bolle “possesses an inherent sensuality tempered by an aura of extreme refinement” and the dancer has also made modeling appearances for Salvatore Ferragamo and the Gap. Coco looks romantic and loving with the various dresses she wears in the Italian setting. This incredible play between the star cross’d lovers is brought to life by this beautiful photo spread. Rosa Cha at Claro Rio Summer 2008 Fashion Event

Brazil is not just one of the hottest travel destinations, but it is known for its hot fashion as well. For Claro Rio Summer 2008 fashion event, Amir Slama certainly spiced up the runway with his newest Rosa Cha collection in Forte de Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The collection features flowy beach cover ups, bandeau tops and a rich tempting color palette of pink, deep blue and exotic prints as well as shimmering silver. The runway was absolutely stunning as the models walked on water with their heels for a splashing hot runway show. You can watch the video of the runway show after the photos below.

Hermès Covers Citröen 2CV

Any time you hear of the infamous Hermès, you think of exquisite leather. The legendary Citröen 2CV got this exquisite leather makeover by the French high fashion house. This cute 60th anniversary gift for the mini 2CV by Hermès was introduced at the Paris Motor Show on October 7th, which for men is like Paris Fashion Week for the ladies. Hermès detailed the natural leather trim from the door facings, the interior rearview mirrors, the gear knob, the steering wheel, and the driver’s sun visor with some haute couture flavour. The two seats are also made by the French brand with natural leather and grey beige cotton canvas. The bonnet and interior trim at the rear of the 2CV is also made of Hermès cotton canvas.

Gisele Covers US Photo November-December 2008 Issue

A while ago, Supermodel Gisele Bundchen covered the French Photo magazine for its October Edition. And now, the Brazilian blond beauty is on the US Edition of the Photo magazine, for the November-December 2008 Issue.

The French magazine “Photo” has chosen supermodel Gisele Bundchen for the cover of its October Edition, shot by Patrick Demarchelier. The magazine is well known for featuring naked top models on its covers and for this special edition, featuring this special Brazilian beauty face, the magazine comes in two covers with different Gisele versions. Karl Lagerfeld Designs French Larousse Dictionary

The 2009 edition of the famous French illustrated dictionary, Le Petit Larousse Illustré will be designed by Karl Lagerfeld. The designer’s love of books is not something surprising as his personal library is apparently the size of a ballroom. Karl illustrated the cover of the dictionary with original Larousse motif featuring La Semeuse, or the Seed-Scatterer, who is a beautiful woman blowing the seeds of knowledge. In Karl’s design, La Semeuse wears a pair of elegant blue, elbow length gloves. The outer black case of the dictionary features the photo-realistic sketch of the creative man himself, Lagerfeld accompanied by the silver phrase, “Habillé par Karl Lagerfeld,” which means “Dressed by Karl Lagerfeld.”

Le Petit Larousse Illustré is a must have for any French language lover or student of the romance language. It contains definitions of words combined with “little cultural edification” as well as explanations of various subjects. Although, anyone can look up Google or the internet in general for instant translations, Le Petit Larousse Illustré offers something extra with its French sense of humour and high cultural taste. In the 2009 edition, Karl Lagerfeld is featured in the proper nouns sections if the dictionary, which already includes Brad Pitt, Bjork and Marion Cotillard. According to WWD, the edition will be released on November 4th. It is already on my shopping list!
