Giorgio Armani is introducing a fragrance names “Onde” which is a trio of Oriental scents. Each fragrance was inspired by either the Middle East, India or Japan. “With Onde, the idea is to play on sensuality and refinement,” says Jean-Pierre Charriton, general manager of Giorgio Armani Parfums. The Indian-Kamasutra, “Vertige” is presented in a pink-nectarine bottle complemented by scents of black liquorice, jasmine and patchouli with carnal frangipani flower. The Japan-Geisha, “Extase” comes in a green bottle with scents of sandalwood and cedar combined with heavy florals like narcissus. The Middle East-Harem, “Mystere” is crafted in a purple bottle offering a combination of musk and amber with Moroccan rose and vanilla.

Sex and The City Premieres in Tokyo

August 23, 2008 by Luba · Leave a Comment

Four months after the New York debut “Sex and The City” movie has finally arrived in Tokyo, Japan. The attendees sure seemed absolutely ecstatic and their mood was in no way affected by the four month delay in its premiere. It was all about the glamor and couture on the pink carpet at Roppongi Hills! The attendees included the movie’s stylist Patricia Field, the movie’s director Michael Patrick King, and Japanese actresses Misaki Ito and Norika Fujiwara. The highlight of the premiere was with no doubt Misaki Ito’s choice of dress; she wore the Vivienne Westwood wedding dress of Carrie from the movie! Oh yeah, THAT dress! What a treat for the thousands of fans that was!

It is interesting, however, that although the dress was so popular and memorable for “Sex and The City,” its designer, Vivienne Westwood is not a fan of the movie at all! In fact, she walked out of the premiere ten minutes after it started, saying that the movie was “boooring” and “not very fashionable.” Ouch!

“Sex and The City” premiered on August 20th in Tokyo and will open in theaters on the 23th of August.

Swarovski Crystal Water: Fillico, the Ultra-Luxurious H2O

Even water is making a fashion statement nowadays! Now, I really do not know whether any water in the world would be worth $100 for a 750ml bottle, unless of course it is an Eleksir of Youth! However, we have to agree that the bottles are a piece of art. Fillico Beverly Hills are an ultra-luxurious line of spring water from the company Vieluce in Osaka, Japan. The water comes from a natural spring from Mount Rokko in Kobe, Japan. Since there is a limited supply of the spring water, only 5,000 bottles are sold per month. The bottles are made of frosted glass, with gold paint and accented with the extraordinary Swarovski crystals. These are sold for $100 for a 750ml bottle. However, if you would prefer something even more luxuriously special, you would double the price at around $230, to get a gold or a silver crown cap, shown below as the silver pair King and Queen, and more of the crystallized Swarovski decoration. The King and Queen crown caps resemble the crown of Fredrick II of the Roman Empire, who was known in his time as Stupor Mundi, “The Wonder of the World.” Now, how is that for an exquisite water!
