In Love With: Dior’s Diorshow Iconic Mascara

For years I have tried to find the perfect mascara and a month ago I finally did. I have been in love with it ever since and still cannot believe its magic! The Diorshow Iconic Mascara is a high definition, lash curling mascara that was created backstage for fashion shows and celebrity red carpet events. It is the single most alluring weapon for dramatic and stunning lashes! Its innovative formula comes with a revolutionary curvy Oblique Brush that is especially designed to create curvier, ticker and sexier lashes while the hairspray-derived polymers will help you keep this gorgeous look for a long time.
No other product in the market can curl your lashes as much as this mascara can which is amazing especially for people like me who are anti-using eyelash curlers. The mascara goes on very smoothly and it is very easy to roll up the brush, which gives more lash separation. It feels extremely light on your lashes and your eyes pop out with the curl, volume and length of the Iconic Mascara. It is priced at $28 and you can find it at most retailers and Dior counters.
New Chanel Mascara: Exceptionnel de Chanel

The newest addition to the Chanel Make-up line is the intense volume and curl mascara Exceptionnel de Chanel. The truly “exceptioneel” mascara features the newly patented “Sculptvolume” brush and is enrinched with the Volumplast complex to coat lashes and curl them to the extreme! It has a 6-sided applicator combined with the traditional tip and plastic sides to create clump-free lashes. In the case that you get any unfortunate clumps, you can fix them with another swipe of the wand.
Exceptionnel de Chanel delivers great make-up results as it gives you intense volume, sensational curls, and deep shade colors.
The mascara comes in four shades; smoky noir, smoky brun, smoky marine and smoky violine. It runs at $28 and it is available at www.chanel.com and other fine retailers.

Beauty Trend: Smoky Eyes Autumn/Winter 08-09

If you want dramatic, then it is all about the eyes. Smoky eyes are back for Autumn/Winter 2008-2009, especially as seen for Gucci. The key to perfect smoky eyes is for the colors to blend flawlessly. Since gold is very popular this season, a nice way to blend it in your smoky eye look is to use the gold shade as a base and apply deep purple on top. Or you can always do the classic black, brown or grey smoky eyes shades. Here are the simple instructions to follow.
- Keep your eyelids oil-free, otherwise your eye shadow may very well run down, and you will have a scary eye look instead.
- Apply the eyeliner in the main color of your smoky eye color choice. For example, if you are going for the gold-purple shade, apply darker purple eyeliner. Concentrate on thickening the middle of the upper eye lash line.
- The key for the smoky eye look is to apply color on you bottom eye lash as well and smudge it. You can choose lighter eyeliner or use shadow only.
- Apply the lighter color shadow as a base over the lids.
- Now you can get the smoky effect by applying the darker shade and blending it well with the lighter base. Make sure you blend it into the lash line so that the eye liner disappears.
- Finish up with mascara. My absolute most favourite mascara for a dramatic look is the Dior Show Mascara. Not only does it volumize but it also curls up your eye lashes.
Remember to keep your lips nude or in very pale matte colors. If you have lighter eyebrows, make sure you define them as well. I also love using a white matte eye liner at the beginning of your eye to soften up the look, like in the photo above.
