Shalom Harlow to Model Viktor & Rolf’s “Funny Face” Collection

Sharlom Harlow is named to be the one and only model for Viktor & Rolf Spring 2009 “Funny Face” virtual collection. The show will begin running on October 2nd only through their website. Make sure you watch it as it will be the first ever virtual fashion show. Harlow is scheduled to shoot for the collection next week.

Virtual Fashion Show Spring 2009: Viktor & Rolf

The Fashion duo are known to experiment during Paris Fashion Week and have gained great attention for their artistic runway presentations. For example, when they presented their first menswear collection, Viktor & Rolf modeled the clothes themselves changing into the outfits on stage. And the most shocking runway show I have ever seen was for their Fall 2007 collection when the models had to wear the truly horrible and extremely dangerous scaffolding with their own lights and music. Well, this year the fashion designers will not experiment with safety but with something very exciting. I present to you: the Virtual Fashion Show for Spring 2009 of Viktor & Rolf. Each one of us, from the comfort of our own homes, can enjoy the Spring collection just by going online at their website.

The Spring collection is called “Funny Face” and it debuts on October 2nd. According to the designers, it will be “An actual show filmed in the Grand Salon of our virtual house” and viewers can also seethe backstage area with hair and make-up and dress fittings. I seriously cannot wait!!!

The website for the designers is truly exciting as well. So, when they say the “Grand Salon of our virtual house,” they really mean their Grand Salon of their virtual house. Going on their website, we can actually see a virtual presentation of their actual house, which is absolutely stunning and fancy, and explore it by “following the black ribbon” or simply by clicking the doors to open this magical kingdom. The house includes a library, with a cute sausage dog, the perfumery, and the Grand Salon.

As for the virtual fashion show, “It is a take on what a fashion show might be in the future,” said Viktor & Rolf.

The Tokyo Lash Bar introduces the 2008 collection featuring ten new intriguing and statement-making designs, including Velvet Feathers, sequins, a splash of new exciting colors to the classic feather lashes, and the absolute stunning handmade lace lashes shown here in the photo. Prices range from $18 to $50.

Tokyo Lash Bar also introduces the Couture Collection featuring collaborations with fashion designers Viktor & Rolf. The Dutch designers exclusively created three Couture eyelashes inspired by their latest collection. The eyelashes are encased in a luxurious white box complete with a masquerade eye mask. Prices are set at $95.
